Josh is an associate in the firm's Litigation Group, where he maintains an active general business litigation practice with a particular focus on complex commercial litigation matters. Josh’s practice touches on a broad array of legal subject matter, including both contract and tort, business corporation law, shareholder, fiduciary, restrictive covenant, trade secret, construction, creditor’s rights and collection, employment, medical malpractice defense, estate and landlord-tenant litigation. He also has extensive appellate experience, briefing and/or arguing appeals, petitions for review and applications before the Commonwealth, Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania.

 

Josh represents a variety of clients in both state and federal courts, including various business entities and corporations, banks and credit unions, community and private colleges, non-profit hospitals, estates and individuals.   Josh also has experience serving as local counsel in complex litigation matters in both Lancaster County and U.S. District Courts.

 

Before joining the firm, Josh served with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps as a Trial Counsel at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney (SAUSA) in the Eastern District of Virginia. In these capacities he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony trials, advised law enforcement agencies on criminal justice matters, and advised military commanders on everything from adverse personnel actions to law of war and emergency response issues. Prior to college, Josh served for more than 4 years as an enlisted infantryman and Ranger in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Haiti in 1995 as an infantry small unit leader during Operation Uphold Democracy and subsequent U.N. Mission.
