Workers’ Compensation
An integral piece of our employment practice is representing employers and insurance companies in all aspects of workplace injury.
Who We Are
Assisting employers with workers’ compensation claims is an integral part of our employment law practice representing employers and insurance companies in all aspects of injury. Our footprint of experience represents all Pennsylvania counties east of State College and Chambersburg as well as cases throughout the state. We also assist employers with reviews of safety procedures and modified-duty programs, while offering advice on risk management and cost control.
Integrated Approach
A work injury can implicate more than just workers’ compensation. It can present issues under a myriad of employment laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Recognizing that the employment environment demands deep knowledge and experience in multiple areas of law, our workers’ compensation practice is integrated within our Employment Law Group. This team-oriented approach enables our clients to benefit from the wide range of legal resources available from both the Employment Law Group and the resources available from our full-service firm. Our approach to workers’ compensation representation is strengthened by our ability to represent both the carrier and employer in virtually all aspects of the law. We believe that strong individual relationships and personal attention are essential elements in serving our clients, and we place great emphasis on a full understanding of our clients’ needs and goals to provide the most effective representation.
Prevention Strategies
Helping achieve our clients’ goals is our top priority, and we counsel clients on preventive measures to minimize litigation exposure and provide advice on reducing reserves and avoiding additional liability in existing and potential claims.
Collaborative Communication
Communication is a critical factor in successful outcomes. We are committed to facilitating effective communication between counsel, employers and insurance carriers to produce the most advantageous outcomes for our clients. Employers often request insurance carriers to retain our services to represent them in cases, and we are approved by many of the leading workers’ compensation insurance carriers and third-party administrators in Pennsylvania.
