Attorneys Latisha Bernard Schuenemann and EmmaRose Strohl selected as Lehigh Valley Business Women of Influence Award Winners

Reading, Pa. – We are pleased to announce partner Latisha Bernard Schuenemann has been named to Lehigh Valley Business’s 2024 “Women of Influence” list and attorney EmmaRose Strohl has been named to the “Women to Watch” list.

Women of Influence awards honor high-achieving women for their career accomplishments. The honorees are selected based on their professional experience, community involvement and commitment to mentoring. Women to Watch honors successful women under the age of 35 who are the next generation of leaders. The honorees were selected by a panel of judges comprised of previous years’ Women of Influence recipients and by the editors of Lehigh Valley Business. To be eligible for the awards, the honorees must live or work in the Greater Lehigh Valley region.

“This year’s Women of Influence demonstrate professional success and strong leadership. They break glass ceilings, inspire innovation, celebrate success, and support the next generation of women leaders,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/Lehigh Valley Business.

Honoring Schuenemann as a Women of Influence
Latisha Bernard Schuenemann is a member of the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Business practice groups, concentrating her practice on estate planning and estate and trust administration matters. She also handles a myriad of business transactions. Her legal acumen has earned her recognition by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for four consecutive years. Outside the firm, Schuenemann is involved with numerous organizations giving back to the community and helping to mentor the next generation of legal professionals. She currently serves as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s (PBA) Women in the Profession and PBA Minority Bar Committees, as a member of the Philadelphia County Bar Association, Berks County Bar Association and as chair of the Berks County Orphans’ Court Rules Committee in addition to many other roles.

Schuenemann earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Kutztown University, her Master of Science in criminal justice from St. Joseph’s University and her Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law. She also holds an LL.M. degree in taxation from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

I am humbled to have been selected along with so many talented and inspiring female leaders in our community, and I will strive to set a positive example for women in the legal profession,” said Schuenemann.

Recognizing Strohl as a Women to Watch
EmmaRose Strohl is a key member of the firm’s Food & Agribusiness Industry Group working with clients on compliance issues with state and federal agencies while also counseling clients on regulations in food processing, manufacturing, and distribution. She also dedicates a portion of her practice to estate planning. Strohl is an active member of the community holding positions such as Vice Chair of Pennsylvania’s Americana Region, Vice Chair of Berks Community Television, Secretary of PA Eats, Governance Council Member of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance’s Women2Women, and member of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Strohl has volunteered for Penn State Extension with local 4-H programs and currently passes on her knowledge as an adjunct professor at her alma mater where she instructs graduate students on “Legal Issues in Agriculture and Food” in the Masters in Agribusiness program. Strohl earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Livestock Science and Management Specialization from Delaware Valley University and her Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School.

“Joining the ranks of this esteemed group of women is not only an honor, but a motivator to continue to work toward the collective raising up of professional women in the community, and I am grateful for being counted among those making this happen,” said Strohl.

Schuenemann and Strohl, along with other Women of Influence winners, will be recognized at an awards celebration on May 8 at DeSales University. All honorees will be profiled in a special magazine issue that will be distributed to the public on May 20 and available online at LVB.com.
