For Immediate Release

Lancaster, Pa. –
Barley Snyder is pleased to announce its internal leadership updates for 2018.

The firm’s partners have re-elected Jeff Lobach as managing partner for a third two-year term. Under Lobach’s direction, Barley Snyder has added nearly 40 attorneys to its headcount, has opened offices in Gettysburg and Harrisburg, Pa., as well as Hunt Valley Md., and added services specific to Food & Agribusiness and Education.

In the past year, Lobach has been awarded the “York Distinguished Citizen Award” from the New Birth of Freedom Council of the Boy Scouts of America and was named the chair of the WellSpan York Health Foundation, and vice chair of the York County Community Foundation. He also serves on the boards of a number of regional non-profit organizations.

“It’s an honor to be part of this prestigious law firm, and an even greater honor that its members have the faith in me to lead our growth initiatives and firm operations for another term,” Lobach said. “Through the direction of our management committee, we’ve been able to exceed our growth goals and projections during this historic period for the firm.”

In another move, Lauralee Baker will take over as the chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group after Paul Minnich decided to step down. Baker has practiced with the firm since 2011, concentrating on health law litigation.

“Our litigation team is a large and diverse group of highly skilled attorneys that have demonstrated their excellence through dedication, hard work and superior client-service skills,” Baker said. “It will be a pleasure to help guide their efforts in and outside of the courtroom.”

Minnich said the busy practice group won’t miss a beat under Baker’s leadership.

“The fact that some of the largest and most sophisticated health systems in our state choose to work with Lauralee and her team speaks volumes about her and the caliber of her work,” Minnich said. “In addition to being highly talented, she is also the type of thoughtful, considerate, collegial team player that everyone likes and appreciates.”

Barley Snyder also welcomed two new members to its management committee, Scott Landis and Salvatore Anastasi. Landis, a member of the firm’s Finance & Creditors’ Rights and Intellectual Property practice groups, works out of the Lancaster office and also is the chair of Barley Snyder’s technology committee. Anastasi, who works out of the firm’s Malvern office, is the chair of its Intellectual Property Practice Group.
