Lancaster, PA – The law firm of Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that Don Geiter has been selected as the practice group leader for the firm’s Finance & Creditors’ Rights group beginning in 2015. Practice groups are one of several tools that Barley Snyder uses to assist lawyers in growing, developing and enhancing their practices and optimizing their performance as professionals. In his role, Don will lead and oversee the group in the areas of training, communication, business development, staffing and recruiting and quality assurance. Don succeeds attorney Scott Landis who held the position since 2009.
Don is a partner with the firm and practices in its Finance & Creditors’ Rights and Business groups. In his finance practice, Don represents lenders, borrowers and investors in traditional commercial lending and venture capital financings, joint ventures, contract preparation and review and general corporate advice. He represents banks and borrowers in commercial lending matters, working with local and national lenders to negotiate commercial loan documents and facilitate the settlement of such loans. In his creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice, he represents financial institutions on loan workouts and forbearance negotiations. He also has experience representing creditors in adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court.
Don earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and his B.A. from Millersville University. He is a frequent speaker on finance and creditors’ rights issues.
