York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce the Honorable Stephen P. Linebaugh has been admitted to the American Arbitration Association.
Linebaugh, a retired judge with the York County Court of Common Pleas, is an attorney with Barley Snyder. He is the chair of the firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Service Team, which helps clients achieve favorable, amicable and cost-saving solutions that can save business relationships. He is also a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.
Being accepted in to the American Arbitration Association puts Linebaugh in a select group of attorneys endorsed by the group to perform alternative dispute resolution tactics in cases both locally and across the country. Formed in 1926, the association holds its members to strict codes of ethics and model standards of conduct to ensure fairness and impartiality in conflict management.
“The American Arbitration Association is the most respected group of ADR attorneys in the country,” Linebaugh said. “To be welcomed into their ranks is very fulfilling for me, and I look forward to using the tools and resources the group has to offer to help clients find the solutions they’re looking for.”
Linebaugh focuses his practice on civil mediation and arbitration, providing alternative dispute resolution throughout the state. He is on the board of directors at the Margaret E. Moul Home in York, and he has volunteered his time with leadership positions to nonprofit organizations such as the Bob Hoffman Dover YMCA, York County Crime Stoppers, Boy Scouts of America, YouthBuild and the York County March of Dimes. He was the secretary of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania, and is a former assistant chancellor of the diocese.
