Barley Snyder Attorney Linebaugh admitted to the American Arbitration Association Panel of Mediators

York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce the Honorable Stephen P. Linebaugh has been admitted to the American Arbitration Association’s (AAA) Panel of Mediators. The AAA is a non-for-profit organization and the world’s largest provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

Mediation is an informal negotiation tactic that is assisted by an impartial third party (the mediator) that encourages disputing parties to craft their solutions, according to the AAA’s website. Members of the AAA Panel of Mediators must meet certain criteria including a minimum of 10 years of senior-level professional experience as well as certain mediator training and experience. Linebaugh has served as a mediator since 2018 in more than 50 cases with over a 95% success rate.

“It will be a tremendous advantage to have access to the additional tools and resources offered by the AAA as a mediator,” said Linebaugh. “I look forward to continuing to help clients reach their desired solutions as a member of this distinguished panel.” 

Linebaugh is a retired judge with the York County Court of Common Pleas who joined Barley Snyder in 2019. He chairs the firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Service Team and is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. In 2020, Linebaugh was admitted to the AAA National Roster of Arbitrators comprised of highly accomplished and respected experts from the legal and business communities. He has also been a member of the AAA Judicial Panel since 2020 which consists of high-level, diverse retired judges who bring another “level of caliber” to the arbitrator or mediator role.
