For Immediate Release
York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that Judge Stephen P. Linebaugh has been elected to the board of directors of the Margaret E. Moul Foundation.
The foundation provides fundraising support for the Margaret E. Moul Home in York. The home is a nonprofit facility providing medical and nursing care as well as rehabilitation services for adults with neuromuscular impairments and cognition levels sufficient to benefit from specialized services, according to its website. Neuromuscular diseases include cerebral palsy, spina bifida and multiple sclerosis, among others.
Linebaugh joined Barley Snyder as an attorney in September after a two decades of sitting on the bench as a judge in the York County Court of Common Pleas.
“The Margaret E. Moul Home is one of only three such homes in all of Pennsylvania to provide this level of assistance to those with neurological diseases,” Judge Linebaugh said. “The home itself and the work they do there makes the Moul Home one of the region’s most critical, medical care resources. It provides help for a large group of people who otherwise may not have had convenient access to it. It’s an honor for me to help the home carry on with its mission.”
Linebaugh is part of the Barley Snyder Litigation Practice Group. He focuses on civil mediation and arbitration, providing alternative dispute resolution throughout the state. In addition to his charitable work with the Moul Home, he has volunteered his time with leadership positions to nonprofit organizations such as the Bob Hoffman Dover YMCA, York County Crime Stoppers, the Boy Scouts of America, YouthBuild and the York County March of Dimes. He was the secretary of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania, and is a former assistant chancellor of the diocese.
