For Immediate Release
Harrisburg, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that the Dauphin County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section has named attorney John “J.” Quain Jr. as the chair of its social committee.
The association’s Young Lawyers Section began in 1976 “to address the needs and interests of new lawyers” of the group, according to its website. The association has more than 1,500 members.
Quain has previously been involved in Dauphin County Bar Association leadership as the chair of its Young Lawyers Law Day Committee in 2019.
“The bar association is the preeminent networking and education organization for attorneys in Dauphin County,” Quain said. “The Young Lawyers Section is a vital piece of the association, often introducing new attorneys to the legal community and helping educate them on the profession. A large piece of that introduction is our social events, and it’s exciting to be able to lead this group.”
Quain came to the firm in 2018 from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development as a part of the Office of General Counsel within the governor’s office. In 2019, he joined the board of directors at the Historic Harrisburg Association.
