For Immediate Release

Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce Advoz has named Attorney Tasha Stoltzfus Nankerville to its board of directors.

Since 2017, the non-profit organization has provided conflict mediation for families, neighbors and businesses, restorative justice dialogue for youthful offenders and those they harm, and conflict skills training for people of all ages throughout Lancaster County. Advoz offers “third party” facilitated face-to-face dialogue which encourages more effective resolutions by involving every individual impacted by the conflict or harm. Nankerville volunteered with Advoz for four years before becoming a board member, and she continues to actively volunteer as a restorative justice facilitator.

“Advoz champions restorative justice, an alternate way to handle conflict in our community, as opposed to punitive justice. Restorative justice provides a forum for those who cause harm to talk to the person they harmed and take responsibility for the harm caused. It also gives agency to victims to decide how the offender can make things right with them,” said Nankerville. “I’m proud to serve on the board of directors and support Advoz’s commitment to providing this kind of justice in our community.”

“Tasha will be an excellent addition to the board at Advoz,” said Barley Snyder Partner Peter Faben who has served on the Advoz board since 2017. “She will bring great enthusiasm and experience to the organization.”

Nankerville is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Health Care groups with strong advocacy, problem-solving and leadership skills. She concentrates her practice on civil litigation and medical malpractice. She continues a longtime firm tradition of former Barley Snyder summer associates returning to the firm.

Before joining Barley Snyder, Nankerville worked as an intern with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office and Villanova Law’s Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSE Institute). A Lancaster native with a passion for public service, she has volunteered with numerous non-profit organizations including Lancaster County Conservancy, Night to Shine, Church World Services and the American Heart Association.
