For Immediate Release
Lancaster, Pa. – We note with sadness the passing of David R. Keller, Esquire, a former Barley Snyder managing partner.
Keller worked as an attorney with Barley Snyder in its Lancaster office for more than 33 years. From 1993 to 2001, he served as the firm’s managing partner, presiding over expansions in Reading and Hanover.
His devotion to his Lancaster community left a shining example of community service for all to follow. He was a former board chair at organizations such as the Lancaster Chamber, the Lancaster Alliance and the Economic Development Company of Lancaster. In 2018, the Lancaster Chamber awarded him its Exemplar Award, which recognizes someone who has made significant contributions to community organizations and has demonstrated a long-term commitment to the Lancaster community.
“Dave never forgot his roots and was always deeply committed to the community,” colleague and current firm managing partner Jeff Lobach said. “As a lawyer, Dave was held in the highest regard, not only by his fellow employment lawyers, but by all our professionals and by the rest of the bar association. He was an archetypal colleague and confidant, a wise sounding board and a patient adviser for me and for many others in our firm and elsewhere.”
Keller is survived by his wife of more than 40 years, Carol Reczkowski, three children and three grandchildren. Please join Barley Snyder in expressing our condolences to our colleagues and the Keller family.
