Wyomissing, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce Partner Benjamin A. Leisawitz has been appointed to the board of directors of the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GRCCI) effective January 1. The GRCCI is a part of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance.
The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance helps professionals and businesses throughout Berks County to connect and network while growing the local economy. Leisawitz will serve a three-year term as board member, assisting the organization in continuing the initiatives set forth by the board.
“As the solicitor at GRCCI for more than 10 years, I am certain that Ben will be a great addition to the board with his strong attention to detail and passion for growing businesses,” said Barley Snyder Partner Timothy Dietrich.
The mission of the nonprofit aims to provide a wealth of educational and training resources to local businesses as well as technical assistance to new and expanding businesses.
“I’m excited to assist with the growth and vitality of Berks County businesses which will be for the benefit of the community as a whole,” said Leisawitz. “Additionally, I look forward to assisting such businesses with practical and innovative resources to enable them to thrive and succeed in and beyond the Greater Reading area.”
Leisawitz is a member of the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Business practice groups. His practice involves formulating estate plans, structuring business deals and negotiating real estate transactions. He received his law degree from Widener University Delaware Law School where he ranked fourth in his class of 195 students and graduated magna cum laude. Leisawitz is a Berks County native and is actively involved as an assistant coach with the Wyomissing Area Youth Baseball and Basketball programs. Ben lives with his family in Wyomissing.
