For Immediate Release
York, Pa. – Barley Snyder partner Christopher A. Naylor has been appointed to the United Way of York County’s Board of Directors.
For the past century, the United Way of York County has worked to improve the lives of its community members. The nonprofit organization, which began as The York Welfare Federation, collaborates with both public and private organizations to address issues and bring about positive change in the County. Their mission is to assist working households in our community on their journey toward financial stability by collaboratively and equitably reducing barriers to prosperity.
“I am honored to join a community-focused organization whose efforts have reflected true change for those facing economic hardships,” said Naylor. “I am particularly eager to help further United Way’s ALICE initiative, which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. Many households in York County struggle to pay for their basic living expenses despite working full-time, yet they earn too much to qualify for government assistance. Through the ALICE initiative, United Way helps these households on their path to financial stability.”
Naylor is a member of Barley Snyder’s Real Estate and Business practice groups and chair of the firm’s Construction Industry Group. In his real estate and construction practice, Naylor handles residential and commercial transactions of all shapes and sizes. In his business practice, he counsels his clients on a variety of general business matters. Naylor also handles mergers and acquisitions, guiding his clients through every step of the transaction. A lifelong resident of York County, Naylor is an active member in his community.
