For Immediate Release
Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that the Pennsylvania Bar Association has named partner David J. Freedman to its new COVID-19 Task Force.
The task force intends to monitor COVID-19 developments as they impact the legal profession, and to prepare appropriate responses. The task force also intends to serve as a resource to address member concerns, to develop programs and to disseminate information, according to the PBA.
Freedman is one of 19 members of the task force, which brings together attorneys from across the state to share their thoughts and advice on how the legal profession can rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. Freedman is the president-elect of the board of directors of the Lancaster County Bar Association.
“As we’ve seen so far, different areas of the state are going to react differently to the pandemic and will have varying needs and questions,” Freedman said. “So it makes sense for the PBA to bring together attorneys from across Pennsylvania to coordinate these efforts. I’m looking forward to working with some of the state’s brightest legal minds to help our members who could be working without a compass during this unprecedented time.”
Freedman is a member of Barley Snyder’s Employment, Education, and Immigration practice groups. He also is a member of the firm’s Hospitality and Food and Agribusiness industry groups. In both 2015 and 2018, the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center named him its “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year.”
