For Immediate Release

York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce Central Penn Business Journal (CPBJ) has selected partner Jeff Lobach as a 2024 Icon Honors recipient.

The Icon Honors recognize business leaders over the age of 60, who have left an indelible mark in their fields and whose integrity, vision and selfless service have lifted up the Central Pennsylvania community. The winners were selected by the editors of CPBJ. Lobach was profiled in an honorary list in CPBJ’s print edition and on its website on January 12, along with other prominent figures in the community.

“I am humbled to have been named to the Icon Honors list among other impactful and talented changemakers in Central Pennsylvania,” said Lobach. “While I do not consider myself an ‘icon,’  I constantly strive to provide a positive example in all that I do as an attorney, mentor, leader and volunteer in our community.”

Lobach joined Barley Snyder in 1983, concentrating his law practice on business and real estate matters. In January, he concluded serving an unprecedented ten years as the firm’s managing partner. Under his leadership, Barley Snyder expanded from a firm of 55 attorneys with five offices to one of nearly 140 attorneys with 11 offices. Lobach is also extremely active in his community, serving on numerous boards and committees of local organizations, including WellSpan Health, the York County History Center, the York County Community Foundation, the Boy Scouts and others. One of the most notable community endeavors spearheaded by Lobach was the “Golden Venture”, a pro bono immigration project that garnered national attention, and ultimately, led to the establishment of the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center based in York, which provides free legal services and education to help immigrants obtain or protect their legal status.

“The 2024 Icon Honors recipients are truly remarkable. They make a difference in the lives of their colleagues and communities through sustained professional achievement, community awareness and action,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/Central Penn Business Journal. “They are role models for all, and we at the Central Penn Business Journal congratulate them on their outstanding achievements.”

This year’s Icon Honors recipients will be honored at a ceremony on February 21 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel. To view the full list of honorees, visit: https://www.cpbj.com/event/icon-honors/
