Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce Partner Jennifer Craighead Carey has been honored as a Marvelous Marauder by her alma mater, Millersville University (MU).
The Marvelous Marauders program was created in honor of the 40th anniversary of Millersville becoming a university. The inaugural program recognizes alumni who have demonstrated dedication, professional achievement, excellence and a commitment to staying engaged with the institution after graduating. Nominees are chosen by a selection committee, consisting of MU alumni, faculty, advisors and one student, based on the impact of their professional work and/or service to the Millersville community.
“It is a great honor to be chosen as a Marvelous Marauder along with many other influential alumni,” said Craighead Carey. “I am very grateful for the education I received from my outstanding professors at Millersville University. They provided me with invaluable guidance when I was considering my career path into law. I cannot thank them enough for their mentorship and look forward to seeing more successful legacies created at Millersville.”
A Class of 1990 MU graduate, Craighead Carey has been recognized many times for her outstanding dedication to her craft. For the fourteenth consecutive year, Thomson Reuters named her a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2023. Lawyers of Color also recognized her as a “Law Firm Leader” in its 2022 edition which features leaders dedicated to promoting diversity and social justice in the legal profession.
Craighead Carey is a partner in the firm’s Employment Practice Group, concentrating her practice in the areas of labor and employment law. She has been part of the firm for nearly 30 years and currently serves on the firm’s management committee and holds several board positions with local organizations.
