Lancaster Pa – Barley Snyder partner Randy R. Moyer has been recognized as an Advisor of the Year by the American Cancer Society – Northeast Region.
The nationwide nonprofit, which invests more than $150 million in cancer research annually, has become the leading cancer-fighting organization in the United States. In addition to fiscal support, ACS offers community programs and services, cancer information services and day-to-day help and patient support. Moyer, through his work with Barley Snyder, has been a longtime supporter of the ACS’s Planned Giving Program, a program designed to give individuals the opportunity to include a lifesaving gift to end cancer in their will and estate plan. Qualified advisors work to develop legacy plans that unite individuals’ charitable and financial goals.

Moyer is the chair of Barley Snyder’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group with nearly 25 years of legal experience. In his practice, he handles both complex and simple estate and tax planning as well as estate and trust administration matters. In addition, Moyer is a member of the firm’s Family Owned Business practice where he works with owners of family owned businesses in creating succession plans and advises owners of closely held businesses on their estate and retirement plans. Active in his community, Moyer serves as the director of The Willis and Elsie Shenk Foundation and the Eden Bridge Foundation as well as a member of the Lancaster General Health Foundation’s Planned Giving Advisory Board Committee.
