York, Pa. – After a recent appointment to the board of directors of the York and York County YMCA, Barley Snyder partner Justin Tomevi has been named to the board of directors at Y Community Development Corp.
The organization is an independent offshoot of the YMCA that concentrates on neighborhood revitalization projects. It also provides affordable housing and supportive services to those residents. The organization was founded in 1998 and works in York, generally in the area west of the Codorus Creek.
“The YCDC is full of dedicated professionals and volunteers who are working to transform the culture of York,” Tomevi said. “It’s an organization that commits its resources to helping families responsibly gain home-ownership and to helping the city gain neighborhood stabilization. I’m very happy to be able to help guide the future of this organization.”
Tomevi is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, as well as its Trusts & Estates Practice Group, the COVID-19 Response Service Team, the Construction Industry Group and the Transportation, Distribution & Logistics Industry Group.
He has been named a “Rising Star” by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers each year from 2016 to 2020. He is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and is the chair of the York Legal Record Publication Board. In addition to his new board of directors position with the York and York County YMCA, Tomevi is also a former board member at the York JCC, a former member of the Springettsbury Township Board of Supervisors, the former vice chair of the York Area United Fire and Rescue Commission and is a Leadership York graduate.
