For Immediate Release

Schuylkill Haven, Pa. – Barley Snyder has continued the expansion of its regional office model, with plans to move into Schuylkill County and open a new office featuring two seasoned attorneys.

The two newest attorneys – partner David H. Rattigan and associate Michael W. Fox – will be based out of the new Schuylkill Haven office full-time. Rattigan joined the firm on Sept. 3, and Fox joined the firm on Aug. 1.

The new office – Barley Snyder’s 10th – will be located at 950 E. Main St. in Schuylkill Haven in the Miller Bros. Construction complex. The office opening is planned for early October.

The move will stretch Barley Snyder’s footprint into Schuylkill County for the first time in the firm’s history and is its fourth new market since 2017.

“This is an exciting time for Barley Snyder,” managing partner Jeff Lobach said. “This is the farthest north we’ve ever planted our flag, and we wouldn’t have been able to enter a new market like this without well-respected, well-connected attorneys coming on board such as David and Michael. Their knowledge of the area and established connections will help us be immediately successful in Schuylkill County.”

Rattigan is an experienced business attorney who also is a certified public accountant. In more than three decades of his career, he’s worked with families and businesses in business formation and operation, succession planning and estate planning and administration. He’s also worked with commercial real estate development, financing and leasing.

Fox is a Lebanon County native who returned to the region in 2017 after working as a real estate attorney in Philadelphia, following his graduation from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

“I’m positive coming to Barley Snyder will be a highly rewarding experience not just for me, but for my clients as well,” Rattigan said. “The resources Barley Snyder can provide all under one roof are unmatched in Schuylkill County. The transition will be seamless for our clients, and we’re very happy to lead the new office in Schuylkill Haven.”

The new office opening follows others in Harrisburg, Gettysburg and Columbia, Md., since spring 2017.

“While our growth has been rapid in the last few years, it’s also been measured and strategic,” Lobach said. “Our partnership has identified markets we want to be in and people we want to work with. We’ve worked diligently to trust and maintain the culture our founders established decades ago, and that culture has served us well through the inherent challenges of expansion. We remain primed for future growth with one thing in mind – to serve our clients better.”
