For Immediate Release
Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that the firm’s management has named partner Derek Dissinger as the chair of its Real Estate Practice Group.
Dissinger takes over as the chair from partner Maria Di Stravolo Elliott, who continues her real estate practice at Barley Snyder. Elliott served as the chair of the group for five years.
The firm named Dissinger a partner in 2019, and he has been the chair of the firm’s Hospitality Industry Group since 2018.
“The members of the group have extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law throughout our entire footprint,” Dissinger said. “It will be a pleasure to work closer with them and to continue on the path that Maria has mapped out for us.”
Elliott said that Dissinger’s experience, knowledge of the regional real estate market and his dedication to his clients all make him an excellent choice to succeed her.
“Derek is a great choice to take over the role of practice group chair,” Elliot said. “Since he’s come to the firm, he’s showed nothing but a passion for the job and for helping clients achieve their real estate goals.”
Dissinger is also a member of the firm’s Finance & Creditors’ Right Practice Group and the COVID-19 Response Service Team. He has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers “Rising Star” each year since 2018.
