York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is proud to announce that John Sylvanus, an attorney at the firm, has been named to the Cultural Alliance of York County Board of Directors.
He currently is a member of the board of the York Symphony Orchestra and will serve a two-year term as the symphony’s designated partner representative on the alliance board. The partner representative positions on the alliance board began in 2015, helping open communication channels between the alliance and its partner agencies it funds.
On the alliance board, he will work to advance its mission to support the arts throughout York County. “Being on the board at the York Symphony Orchestra for the last four years, I know well the excellent work of the alliance, its close cooperation with the symphony and all of its beneficiaries,” Sylvanus said. “Expanding the lines of communication between the symphony and the alliance is important to assure the future health of both organizations.”
Sylvanus is an attorney in the firm’s Construction Law and Litigation groups. He counsels clients in construction-related matters such as litigation, contracting and dispute resolution. He represents architects and engineers and has practiced construction law for nearly 40 years.
