Barley Snyder Partner Latisha Bernard Schuenemann accepted into the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

Reading, Pa. – Barley Snyder partner Latisha Bernard Schuenemann has been accepted into Class IV of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).

The Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute was created by ACTEC Fellows to develop the profession’s future leaders in trust and estate law through a series of in-depth educational presentations led by outstanding subject matter experts in each field from across the United States. The institute includes six sessions for lawyers who were nominated by an ACTEC Fellow and selected through a competitive application process. The program begins in October 2024 and concludes in April 2025.

“I am thrilled and honored to be accepted into the Class IV of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute,” said Schuenemann. “I look forward to participating and meeting fellow colleagues in the trust and estate area while further enhancing my practice through the institute’s various educational opportunities.”

Schuenemann is a member of the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Business practice groups, concentrating her practice on estate planning and estate and trust administration matters. She also handles a myriad of business transactions. Her legal acumen has earned her recognition by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for five consecutive years. In addition, she was named to the Lehigh Valley Business’s 2024 “Women of Influence” list based on her professional experience, community involvement and commitment to mentoring.

Schuenemann earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Kutztown University, her Master of Science in criminal justice from St. Joseph’s University and her Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law. She also holds an LL.M. degree in taxation from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel is a national organization of lawyers elected to membership by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors.
