Kelly is a paralegal in our Trusts & Estates Practice Group with more than a decade of experience in estate administration, all in central Pennsylvania. She’s worked in all aspects of estate administration in that time and is a member of the Central Pennsylvania Estate Planning Council. Before working as a paralegal, she spent 15 years as a conference officer and supervisor for domestic relations in Lancaster County.
And if you’re a fan of competitions like the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, you may have randomly seen Kelly on television. She’s professionally shown golden retrievers at competitions up and down the East Coast since 1992.

Shannon is a paralegal who spent eight years as a legal assistant before starting as a paralegal. She works as a paralegal in the Barley Snyder Real Estate Practice Group, and augments her knowledge in real estate with thorough legal experience in bankruptcy, estate administration and planning, as well as general business.
She has experience with preparing bankruptcy documents, electronic filing, document preparation and title searches.
Shannon is a longtime resident of New Oxford, Pa., and has three children. In her time away from the office she enjoys to kayak with her dog, Oscar.
Katie has over 20 years of legal experience and is a member of the firm’s Business and Real Estate practice groups. Her background is in financial services, helping her become adept at reviewing corporate organizational documents in due diligence, performing and reviewing lien searches and real estate searches, reviewing title-related documents, and preparing and reviewing corporate resolutions.
She has experience in working with clients on:
- Entity formations and amendments, including obtaining employer identification numbers
- Entity conversions and mergers
- Entity dissolutions
- Entity decennial reports
- Preparing stock certificates and keeping stock ledgers up to date
- Organizing corporate record books
- Assisting in asset purchase transactions

- Preparing deeds of various types
- Preparing final title policies for lenders and borrowers
Katie, who also is a notary public, is a resident of Denver, Lancaster County and lives with her husband Brian and their three children. She enjoys gardening, antiquing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Jeanne Rachor is a paralegal in the Creditors’ Rights Practice group. With more than three decades of legal experience at Barley Snyder, she assists individuals, businesses and financial institutions in collections, foreclosures, repossessions, levies, garnishments, mechanics’ liens and bankruptcy.
Jeanne obtained her Certified Bankruptcy Assistant (CBA) credential with the Association of Bankruptcy Judicial Assistants (ABJA) in 2010. She currently holds a seat on the CBA Committee of the ABJA. Jeanne obtained her Pennsylvania Certified Paralegal credential in 2012 through the Keystone Alliance of Paralegal Associations. She is also a member of the Lancaster Area Paralegal Association.

Stacie Coppersmith is a paralegal in Barley Snyder’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group who has been working in estate administration for nearly 35 years.
Janice has been with the firm for more than 30 years. She is a paralegal in the Trusts & Estates Practice Group where she assists individual clients with the day-to-day administration of estates. This includes preparation of inheritance tax returns, inventories, accounts and fiduciary income tax returns. Janice also attends various continuing legal education seminars in order to better serve the firm’s clients.
Terri is a paralegal in the firm’s Creditors’ Rights Practice group.
Tricia Ranck is a paralegal in the Litigation group where she works on a wide range of matters including general liability and commercial litigation, including construction and casualty litigation. She assists the litigation attorneys in their representation of businesses, health care institutions, banking institutions and individuals. Tricia is involved with all phases of litigation and case management, from inception to trial.
In addition to her work as a litigation paralegal, Tricia also functions as the firm’s litigation technology/support paralegal. Tricia is well versed in electronic discovery and large document review/production. Tricia is skilled in the use of Trial Director software and has provided visual presentation support to attorneys at numerous arbitrations, hearings and trials.
Tricia is also involved with Barley Snyder’s Practice Excellence® initiative and has been integral in creating numerous litigation templates to streamline standard litigation processes. She is a member of Barley Snyder’s Wellness Committee and is committed to the firm’s numerous wellness initiatives, having served on committees to organize events for the group. Tricia is a recreational runner who has conquered 14 marathons and eight half marathons, many of them in the popular runDisney racing series at Disney World in Orlando, Fla. She also enjoys flower gardening and spending time outdoors.

Colleen joined Barley Snyder in 2001 as a senior paralegal in the Creditors’ Rights group. She has worked as a creditors’ rights paralegal since 1987. Colleen assists clients in the collection process including, preparing and filing pleadings in both state and federal courts, obtaining and executing on judgments, and locating individuals and assets. Client’s benefit from her extensive creditors’ rights knowledge and experience.
Colleen has been instrumental in the development of forms and checklists; and she seeks to continue her work in this area as a Practice Excellence® tool in her every day practice to better serve the firm’s clients.
Colleen is currently active with the ABJA and serves on the CBA and Conference Committees.
