Our keynote speaker was Gregory K. Millen, the founder of Noble Advisors, LLC. Greg shared the story of how he grew his business over the past 15 years using outside capital and his successes in finding opportunities and raising capital by forging successful relationships with private investors. Barley Snyder Partner Kimberly J. Decker covered basic securities rules and regulations regarding raising capital. Anthony A. Latini, Jr., Managing Director at Boenning & Scattergood, rounded out the discussion with a high-level overview of debt and equity instruments that can be used to successfully raise capital, what investors are looking for in an investment opportunity and what a company should do to prepare for a capital raise. Barley Snyder Partner Paul G. Mattaini offered his insights and moderated the discussion.

Kimberly J. Decker, Esq., Partner, Barley Snyder
Kim is a member of Barley Snyder’s Business Practice Group and chairs the firm’s securities practice. Paul G. Mattaini, Esq., Partner, Barley Snyder
Paul is a member of Barley Snyder’s Business and Finance & Creditors’ Rights practice groups, concentrating his practice in the mergers and acquisitions, securities, banking and corporate areas. His practice includes complex and sophisticated transactions and counseling clients on a variety of business matters. While Paul has a significant amount of specialized experience, he has maintained the breadth of practice necessary to effectively lead transactions and client relationships and function as outside general counsel for clients without inside counsel.
Gregory K. Millen, Founder, Noble Advisors, LLC
Greg is the founder of Noble Advisors, LLC which has $45 million of capital raised from private investors and invested in the company and approximately $75 million of assets under management. He holds a B.A. in Finance and is a Pennsylvania licensed real estate broker. His real estate career began in 1989 and he has overseen the disposition of more than 5,000 properties in his career. Greg is the president of Noble Advisors, LLC and is actively involved in the company, providing oversight in commercial real estate and commercial financing and heading up the company’s private investor and banking relationships.
Anthony A. Latini, Jr., CFA, Managing Director, Boenning & Scattergood
Tony has over 30 years of experience providing corporate finance and investment banking services to middle market and large corporate clients. He focuses on merger & acquisition advisory services and capital offerings for middle market clients in a variety of industries. His M&A transaction experience includes approximately $2 billion in transaction value and he has assisted in raising in excess of $1 billion in debt and junior capital. Tony has significant experience with financial services modernization, having worked with insurance companies, banks and agencies since segments of the industry began to converge in the late 1990s.
