Keynote & Panel Discussion Session
Maria Di Stravolo Elliott, partner and chair of the Real Estate Practice Group, kicked off this session by welcoming our guests. A keynote presentation was then provided by Ahmed El Nokali, Managing Director and Head of Interest Rate Management at First National Bank. Ahmed provided a current look at the state of the economy, focusing COVID-19’s impact on the consumer. He discussed the role of monetary policy as well as fiscal stimulus and the impact they have had on interest rates and the economy. Ahmed also provided insight on longer term, potential impacts. After the keynote, there was an “Economic Real Estate Forecast” panel discussion.
